Ava Hartchak K1W @ Punchbrook Slalom

Ava Harchak and family travelled to opening day of the New England Slalom Series (NESS) the weekend of April 6–7 in Burlington, Connecticut. We are pleased to report that she had a blast on the Class II+ stretch of Farmington River.

Fresh from her great run at the Red Moshannon Downriver race, Ave took a first place in the Women's Junior Kayak Class with a score of 256.4 seconds. She touched no poles for a penalty-free run on the 20-gate course paddling in her favorite Toril slalom kayak.

Switching to her favorite rec boat, the yellow Angel, she took a second place with another clean run of 246.3 seconds.

She and other Mach One paddlers will be looking forward to the next NESS race, the Blackwater Slalom in Webster, NH on April 27-28.
